A few questions, if I may…

bookofjoe: BehindTheMedspeak: American Society of Transplant Surgeons Blinks
1. Why no link to the story? Awfully nice of you to cut and paste it for your readers, but why not let us read it for ourselves? Of course, there is the small matter of editorial license, which is alive and well, as one can see clearly when browsing your blog.
2. Why the delay in posting? This article was posted over a month ago, and has been widely read and commented upon by a number of people.
3. Are you, or is any member of your direct family, now on the transplant waiting list? Just curious. Not that it would make any difference in your “spin,” of course. To be sure.

All we ever wanted was a level playing field…

OPTN/UNOS Board Opposes Solicitation for Deceased Organ Donation

Maybe those individuals with the money to pay for advertising to save their own lives, with complete disregard for the needs of other people, will find something better to do with their cash. Perhaps a fund raiser or two for those people who cannot afford the medication or the cost of surgery or any of a number of other critical needs might be more appropriate. After all, fair is fair, isn’t it?

Better than SETI at home? Well, not exactly…

World Community Grid – Software Features – System Requirements
Only if you’re running a windoze box…and I would think they have had enough fun with SP2 to be thoroughly shell shocked. What I don’t understand is why they would completely ignore those folks with the dual-processor G5s, the same computers used to build the supercomputer cluster at certain university in the US. Ah well, the lemming effect is alive and well at IBM et al.

X-Rated Fruit Wrappers

It would seem the young people at the local Catholic school may have a little too much time on their hands, I mean, minds. Well, you know what I mean. (double entendre purely intentional)
